An enchanting personality  is a sure key to success. Though most part of our personality is inherited,  through systematic effort, we can build an attractive personality that  can yield best results. This process is called personality development

Personality development  has become the in-thing now. A casual look around the society is enough  to understand the plethoric personality development courses and training  centers that have come up in various parts.

Though inspirational books  continue to help people, the method of solely depending on books has  become out of vogue now. Quality research into the field of personality  development has led to development of a number of effective techniques  that can change an average Joe into a highly successful person.

So, what are some  of such methods? First of all, let us see what personality means. Your  personality is the reflection of the type of person that you really  are, that is shown by the way you feel you are, the way you behave and  think. But there are objections to this view especially by psychologists.

We love to hide our personality and try to portray a different one;  we try to close all the bad patches in our mind in front of others.  Therefore, the best thing one can do to improve one’s personality  is to become original.

Remember that there is no one in the world exactly  like you and you cannot be anyone else. Accept and appreciate your unique  personality and then try to improve it on that platform. Do not blame  your faults, it could happen to anyone. Those are only temporary defeats,  not permanent failures. The real victorious person is the one who gets  up, dusts himself, and moves off.

A great personality  is best manifested in the form of a smile. When you go outdoors, take  a deep breath, keep your mind relaxed, forget all your worries, and  have a broad smile in your face. Get genuinely interested in others.  The advice of Shakespeare may also be relevant here “Give your thoughts  no tongue.”

Let the other person make him feel that he is important.  Let him speak out and be an active listener, and at the end of the day,  the other person will say that what a lovable person you are. These  are some of the simple tips that can go a long way in developing your  personality.

Personality development  is not complete without knowing how to deal with the negative emotions.  One, who has mastered his emotions, does not get sad or depressed at  any given time and hence can reap benefits even from seemingly adverse  situations. There are specific techniques for dealing effectively with  each of these negative emotions. The result will be that you can flirt  with any of your emotions.

To sum up, one with  a great personality will be at peace with himself and sees the positive  side of everything. So, explore ways through which you can develop your  personality. Even if you are a small flower in the valley, try to be  the best; the world will be yours!
